Two-thirds of Geneva’s population are of migrant origin. This reality shapes Geneva’s identity. Yet every day, on their way to work or school, thousands of people risk arrest, imprisonment and eventual expulsion from the country because of their residency status. <\/p>\n\n

People of different origins, nationalities and backgrounds, living in precarious conditions and forced anonymity. In the fifth richest city in the world, housing, decent work, healthcare, education and access to justice are not guaranteed. For many, these fundamental rights remain inaccessible privileges. <\/p>\n\n

Begun in 2019 as part of the Geneva Photographic Survey, the D\u00e9lits de s\u00e9jours project seeks to give a voice and visibility to those known as “undocumented” and forced by law to live in obscurity, as well as to those who share their lives.<\/p>\n\n
